Dawn Domination: Unveiling The Ultimate Path To Rise & Thrive
Here’s the brutal truth about productivity:
There are WAY too many people who think waking up early is easy.
They say, “Oh I’ll just set an alarm tomorrow and I’ll wake up motivated and ready to crush the day.”
If only it were that easy…
If you’re serious about being productive with your day and waking up early, you need to be SYSTEMATIC with your approach.
Otherwise, you’re taking the “Random Rendezvous Approach” and just setting an alarm and hoping for the best.
Well, today I’m going to show you a technique that ALMOST GUARANTEES that you can get up early every morning.
Keep reading to learn how…
The Daybreak Technique: (Becoming A Morning Person For Entrepreneurs)
On November 6th 2023, I decided tomorrow was the day I would start waking up early.
After executing the “Daybreak Technique”, I successfully managed to wake up early the next day.
Here’s a picture I took of the sunrise (I forgot to take a photo at 6 but you wouldn’t have seen much anyway as it was pitch black):
But more importantly, I managed to consistently do it for the NEXT MONTH (I missed a few days):
As a nice bonus, I noticed that my productivity SKYROCKETED on the days I woke up early and dipped significantly on the days when I decided to have a lie-in.
The best part?
You can do the same thing for yourself… even if you feel like you’re not going to survive the day if you wake up early.
The 3 Steps to Using “The Daybreak Technique” To Get Wake Up Early and Crush The Day
Here are the 3 steps to The Daybreak Technique:
Step 1: Start the day with 4 wins.
Step 2: Have something you look forward to.
Step 3: Find what truly motivates you.
Step #1: Start The Day Off With Wins
Starting the day off with a win is essential.
It makes you feel like you have already accomplished something great.
And when you do it at the start of the day, you feel invincible.
Everything you do afterwards feels like a breeze because you have already won.
But…
What’s better than starting the day with 1 win?
Start it with several.
Here’s how…
Choose 4-6 extremely simple tasks that you can do around your bedroom as soon as you wake up.
These have to be super easy to complete and have to be done within a minute.
Otherwise, you’ll wake up feeling lost and unmotivated and likely just fall back asleep.
To help you choose, let me give you some examples of what I do:
- Do the bed
- Do the blinds
- Drink a cup of water
- Do 10 pushups
That’s it.
SIMPLE.
Now, doing 10 pushups in the morning won’t help me grow a massive chest.
BUT, it will help me feel energized and ready for the day.
Which is exactly what I need in the morning.
So write down your 4-6 simple tasks and let’s move on to Step #2.
Step #2: Choose An Activity You Love
Your next step is to choose an activity that you love and practice it every morning.
This can be as simple as meditating for 10 minutes (which I highly recommend)
OR
Something that requires a bit more effort, like working out (which I do).
This is the activity that you GET TO do because you woke up early.
It’s your reward.
Whatever you choose, make sure you LOVE doing it.
This is the KEY.
If you choose something that you don’t enjoy, you’re going to hate it and you won’t feel motivated to go do this activity when your brain is shouting at you to go back to bed.
Now that you have the ONE activity that you love, let’s move on to Step #3.
Step #3: Find Your North Star
You won’t feel motivated to do the thing you love every day.
That is a fact.
Even with working out, I don’t feel motivated to wake up at 6 a.m. every morning
And even if I did, I need rest days where I can’t work out but still need to wake up early.
This is where the North Star comes in.
The north star is something that symbolizes “direction, guidance, stability and purpose”.
It is the star that shines the brightest amongst the others.
It is what guides you in times of need.
Your north star is what motivates you when you don’t feel motivated.
It is the reason you keep going when you want to quit.
Finding your north star is quite simple.
Ask yourself, “Why do I do______?”
Then when you answer that, keep asking why.
You have to keep asking why until you find the reason why you do anything.
Is it your family?
Is it your friends?
Do you want to help someone?
Maybe the reason you work so hard is so that you can give back to good causes and help those in need.
Whatever your reason is, write it down and stick it on the wall.
Remind yourself of the reason you keep going every day and I promise you you will never feel demotivated again.
You will always find a reason to keep going.
And if you don’t, then that means you haven’t gone deep enough to find out what truly motivates you.
